CAC Therapist

The Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center is seeking a full time experienced therapist to provide individual and group treatment to adult and child victims of child abuse. This therapist will be working with clientele involved with the Child Advocacy Center. Candidates must have experience in providing individual and group therapy to children who have experienced trauma due to child abuse; knowledge and use of various treatment and education methodologies; ability to write required reports; excellent communication skills; advanced interviewing skills; and experience working on a multidisciplinary team. In addition to providing direct therapy to DVCAC clients, the therapist will assist with program evaluation, maintain program/case records, attend clinical and agency wide staff meetings, and participate in a multidisciplinary team through the Child Advocacy Center. Qualified applicants must have a Master’s degree in social work or counseling and an LSW, LISW, LPC or LPCC. Experience providing in-home service is a must. Position is daytime and evening hours during weekdays.

CAC Medical Coordinator

Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center is seeking a full time medical coordinator for the new Child Advocacy Center. Duties include but not limited to: advocating for the needs of clients and their families; coordinating services with all multidisciplinary team members including assisting with the timely sharing of findings with the team; assisting with collection of medical exam referrals; assist with coordinating medical appointments; providing information regarding availability of evaluations to the partner health systems; assisting with distribution of educational materials to the multidisciplinary team. Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field required. Master’s Degree and clinical licensure (LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC) preferred. Must have experience working with victims of child abuse and those exposed to domestic violence. Experience working within the medical field with an understanding of basic medical terminology.

FT Shelter Advocate

Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center is seeking a 2nd shift full time advocate for our confidential shelter. Duties include but not limited to: answering 24 hour Helpline; offering information and referrals; performing phone intakes; providing crisis intervention, advocacy, information and referral to shelter residents; determining eligibility of individuals requesting shelter; providing ongoing support and case management to residents; maintaining documentation; walking facility; engaging with residents; checking for safety and sanitation; and participating in shift change. Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field or equivalent years of experience preferred. Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license.

Shelter Youth Advocate

Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center is seeking a full time youth advocate for our confidential shelter. Duties include but not limited to: answering 24 hour Helpline; offering information and referrals for youth clients; facilitating child based support groups; providing ongoing support and case management to youth residents; planning and supporting activities for youth clients (ages 0-17); maintaining documentation; engaging with residents; monitoring safety of youth areas; maintaining appropriate documentation; assisting with carrying out general shelter operations; and participating in shift change. Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field preferred. Must have experience working with youth population and the areas of domestic violence and child abuse. Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license.

Visitation Monitor

Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center is seeking part time Monitors for our Safe and Sound Supervised Visitation Center. Duties include, but not limited to, monitor visits between parents and children, monitor exchanges of children between parents, model and teach appropriate parent-child behavior. High School diploma and two years working with youth and families required. Qualified applicants must have a working knowledge of domestic violence and child abuse issues. Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Bilingual in Spanish & English a plus. Must be available Thursdays and Fridays starting at 3:30 pm, 4:30 pm or 5:30 pm until 8 pm and must be able to work weekends. We are closed major holidays. This position is a continuous need. Resumes are kept on file for a year and reviewed as openings occur.

Chief Development & Engagement Officer

Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center is seeking an experienced fundraiser to fulfill the role of Chief Development & Engagement Officer. Candidates must have a strong background in major gifts as well as extensive knowledge of resource development strategies in a human services or advocacy non-profit environment. Successful candidates must have proven success at creating resource development strategies, increasing financial results, and strengthening relationships with donors. Responsibilities include developing and implementing a robust donor centered major gifts program, overseeing fundraising activities, and creating an enhanced marketing program to increase agency visibility. Bachelor’s degree and 7-10 years of fundraising and management experience is required. Must be available to work some evenings and weekends as well as have reliable transportation to get to various meetings/events throughout Cuyahoga County.

Bilingual Prevention Educator

Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center is seeking a part time Prevention Educator for the Latina Domestic Violence Project. Duties include, but are not limited to: facilitating parenting and domestic violence education classes and providing outreach within the Latina community. Experience with group facilitation with adults, crisis intervention and public speaking required. Qualified applicants must have a working knowledge of domestic violence and child abuse and must be bilingual in Spanish and English. Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field preferred. Successful candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills and be willing to work evenings and occasional weekends.

Prevention Educator

Trauma Services Manager

The Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center is seeking a full time experienced Trauma Services Manager to oversee direct client care and supervise a diverse team of social workers, counselors, case managers, and interns. Duties include but are not limited to: supervising staff to ensure services are delivered in accordance to funding requirements and evidence based practices; providing case consultation; providing direct services including individual therapy, group therapy, and educational programming; maintaining clinical documentation; participating in the design of Trauma Informed Care practices and policies; managing day-to-day oversight of grants and budgets; completing and maintaining all credentialing requirements with private and managed care insurance companies; and analyzing statistics to report and identify trends and service delivery gaps. Qualified applicants must have a Master’s degree in social work or counseling and an LISW-S or LPCC-S. LICDC III, ATR, or other licensure/certifications preferred. 3-5 years of direct service and supervisory experience required. Must have extensive experience working with victims of domestic violence and child abuse or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be available for extended and non-traditional work hours as well as have the ability to provide services at a variety of locations.

PT Justice System Advocate

Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center is seeking a part time Justice System Advocate to provide services within area court systems. Duties include but are not limited to: providing crisis intervention and emergency assistance; assisting with applications for State Victim Assistance Compensation; providing support to victims within the criminal justice system; acting as an advocate for victims; facilitating weekly support groups. Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field or equivalent years of experience working with victims of domestic violence required. Social work licensure preferred. Must be available for extended and non-traditional work hours as well as able to provide services in various locations. Must have a valid driver’s license.
